As an addition to the existing Santee Cooper Division Headquarters, the building was designed to seamlessly extend the new facility to accommodate the storm center activities. The center incorporates the main control room to monitor power substations throughout the Horry County area, a call center to field customer service requests, and support spaces to allow employees to be sustained for several days during a disaster event.
